Food service or soda delivery might be your best bet. LTL would be better
If you want to go that route I would highly recommend trying to get on Estes regional linehaul driver if you can handle nights
Trucking is alright, but if you have the aptitude I think any other skilled trade would be better, especially lifestyle wise.
I would skip otr and run system linehaul for one of the ltl companies to maximize income
Worked for them last year. Really good company, just didn't like OTR.
No cameras, flexible pet policy, get you home when you request. Just need...
Maybe a dump truck driver for a construction company (asphalt/concrete)
That's a tempting offer. Wonder what the catch is.
Loves or PFJ fuel hauler
I see them on Facebook all the time
I agree, but I wouldn't expect a bunch of idiots to act like thoughtful civilized people, hence I would never have shown up in downtown...
Should have refused to drive there in the first place.
You could look into Averitt. They have their own service centers/terminals that you could take your 10 at.
Try Britton Transport if you're in their hiring area. They have van/reefer and flatbed.
See if there is a Macalister Machinery near you. Better than OTR
Hope you get it.
Didn't get hired by my state, oh well
Thinking about quitting current job and going with a temp agency for a little bit.
How flexible are they with scheduling?
Just apply with Estes if that's what you want. You'll have the chance to eventually bid on a home daily run I assume.
OD has two terminals near me. One is small and the other is a break bulk. Would it be better to apply at the BB for P/D to get a morning start...
Unfortunately it seems to be the latter. Might have to pass on this one.
Are small barns hard to move up in seniority? New city guys have to start between noon and 1400 at the one near me. Seems like it could be...
