My experience with Freightage was extremely disappointing, and I believe drivers considering this company should know what my experience was before making a decision.
One of my biggest concerns was the way the owner, Alex, interacted with drivers regarding equipment and mechanical issues. During my time there, multiple staff members and mechanics privately approached me and warned me about his behavior toward drivers. They told me that drivers could be blamed or charged for equipment problems that they believed were outside of the driver’s control. Those were statements made to me by employees; prospective drivers should ask very specific questions about the company’s maintenance and driver-charge policies before signing anything.
I also had concerns about the terms of the opportunity itself. When I determined that the situation was not right for me, I made the decision to leave rather than continue in an arrangement I was uncomfortable with.
What bothered me most afterward was discovering that negative information was reportedly being placed on my Tenstreet employment/application record after I chose to leave. I believe drivers should be able to decline an opportunity or leave a company without inaccurate or retaliatory information affecting their ability to obtain future employment.
I am documenting my experience because drivers depend heavily on employment records and references to earn a living. If you are considering Freightage, get everything concerning pay, equipment responsibility, maintenance charges, deductions, home time, termination, and what will be reported to Tenstreet IN WRITING before accepting the position.
This review represents my experience and the information communicated directly to me during my time with the company.

What's "Tenstreet"?
Is that similar to DAC?
If so, is it used by any reputable company to check work history?
It seems to me that it just showed up out of the woodwork to allow shady companies to be on the same page with what they pull over on the drivers. -
I don’t know…
Wheaties tends to be VERY informative!lol

Tenstreet is a more feature rich DAC, it can do applications, background checks, MVR, company reported issues, employment verification.snowlauncher and Lonesome Thank this.

By Tenstreet, do you mean DAC? Tenstreet, HireRight, and Intelliapp are owned by the same company (HireRight). HireRight does the DAC. What you may not know about DAC is that is it federally protected under FCRA (Fair Credit Reporting Act). That's the regulatory structure (actual law, not just regulations) that governs how credit reports are run. DAC is covered by this act as per the settlement reached after a Class Action and the Feds sued HireRight. As such, you may challenge any entry on that report, the same timeframe for company response are the same as if you challenged a credit report entry. Failure to respond with proof means the entry is removed (after a certain amount of time). If they do respond with proof (within that timeframe), the entry remains. Same as credit report challenges. You can challenge any entry you consider false or erroneous by going to the HireRight website and submitting their form for this.
