I’m having a random loud squeal from the engine compartment. We’ve changed ac compressor, serpentine belt, Turbo, turbo gaskets, and manifold gaskets, also new belt tensioner. Can’t pinpoint the noise. I’ve listened to the alt bearing with stethoscope, that’s not it either. Any ideas?

I had a similar squeal I couldn't seem to find. Front countershaft bearing in Roadranger transmission turned out to be the culprit.

If it's a CAT, those things will squeal like a stuck pig when worn out.

  7. Check exhaust manifold the bolts and gasket have been prone to loosen up. Causing a whistle.
