07 sterling truck has a major leak when dash valve is pulled out

    2007 sterling boom truck has a major air leak when the air valve on the dash is pulled out to apply the maxies I have a major air leak coming from the distribution valve in the middle of the frame which has the antilock valves on either side. I also noticed it's not evacuating the air out of the cans like it should???

    It appears the quick release valve isn't working and back feeding to the relay valve and slowly releasing the air to apply the spring brakes I hope my diagnosis is correct

    Also wondered about about a hand valve or tractor protection valve issue. Stuff like that can be tough even when you are hands on.

    Sorry but your description of whats happening seems confusing. QR valve usually for the parking brake. You may have a bad brake can internal seal. If you have rubber hoses its easy to pinch off each one at the spring brake to see if that locates the source.
