It’s not only the the mega box haulers that screw up the fuel island......

I pulled in and he was parked right there. I Fueled pulled up and went in to use the restroom. Came out , truck was still there running no one around......

I didn’t have to wait but that’s not really the point.....

Guess he was fueling the trailer......:-/

I refrain from complaining about people taking their break at the island AT NIGHT. Far fewer trucks getting fuel than there are looking for a spot to take their 10. So, why take a spot someone NEEDS? Even for just 30 minutes. Better to complain about the parking shortage brought on by these dang E-logs.

you'd be surprised how much fuel a flat bed can take on.

I take my 30 at the fuel island all the time. If I get fuel and pull up, I'll hang out there until someone pulls up to the pump behind me. If they start hanging the pumps up and my 30 hasn't ended then I'll pull around to a parking spot. But alot of times I'll finish my break before anyone even pulls up to the pump.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with a guy taking his break there if he's not causing people to wait behind him. It makes no sense to take up a spot for that.

I dont know what truck stops you go to but all the truck stops I pass in texas every night have a lot of activity at the fuel island. Swing by the Loves in sweetwater TX or the TA across the street. Plenty of dumb dumbs parking at the fuel island the washing every inch of their truck, go inside and take a dump, shop for 20 minutes while the fuel lines back up 3-4 deep

I guess I should have stated "If the TS isn't busy". But if it's like in the pic above, I see no issue other than he could've hit the lane farthest from the building.

And I don't do Texas if it matters.
