This was new old stock we bought that is slightly rusty...meaning rust spots on the chain. Not as rusty as it would be after a heavy storm in your chain rack a week later. I can cut longer lengths and post pics if interested. Links are stamped on the chain. If interested let me know.

Grade 43? If you got to drag around 1/2 chain, why not get the most out of it? Grade 100 weighs as much as this grade 43 and you get 15,000 WLL . So you will need alot less tie down.

Have you ever bought certified grade 100 1/2 inch chain? I bought 8 20 footers 3 years ago and spent just shy of 20,000 dollars on them. Yea I'll buy a cheaper grade and throw a couple more on.

gee I bought grade 100 chains 16 ft each with hooks on one side for about 125 each. Did you get those 20,000 dollar chains certified for crane hoisting? I even bought transport chains.. Grade 70 from ATS for about 70 bucks each. If they are certified they are each tested and will have a metal tag secured to each chain. Those are more but 8 of them for 20,000?maybe 3-400 a piece. You can go to carpenter rigging they have a web site and I believe they are in salt Lake, or call up murray trailer in Stockton ,ca. That's where I got mine. They will even ship if you want. And Crosby binders are about the same price. They are rated 15,000 WLL .

I quoted "haulhand", not you. So $20,000 divided by 8 chains at 20' long = $125 per foot. Not you
