I'm having a hard time finding job, so thinking about getting back into trucking. Are there any companies hiring newbies that have 100% no touch freight and home on weekends? I know you earn more for unloading, but this time I just want to drive. I know I will have to wait to be loaded, but companies pay them, and I don't mind getting paid $12.00 an hour for playing my games or watching movie in my cab while they unload or load the trailer.

    mje Thanks this.

I don't have an answer, but you probably need to specify your location to get good answers from those who do.

    Depends on your location.

Ozark Motor Lines is 100% no-touch freight, no NYC, no Canada.
Don't know about home on weekends.

I'm developing a robot to drive the truck while I sleep. I'll let you test it for me.

Would have said TMC, but its flatbed.
Crete regional, but you'll need CDL first.
    Where do you live?
What was the last job trucking you had?

100% no-touch is out there but not so sure about with the companies who hire new drivers. Regardless, you won't get paid to wait while being loaded/unloaded wherever you go.
