If your company has a contract with Pilot/FJ, then buy the fuel there, then go down to the KwikTrip, park there & buy your dinner, breakfast and other goods there. They appreciate your business.

Or you could stop by buc'cees.... oh wait, scratch that.

Oh yeah that's pretty much my exact plan, maybe take a shower because it's free and then park at McClure oil or at a beef-a-roo with truck parking.. both within 3 miles of that Flying J.

    navypoppop and Grumppy Thank this.

Although that would be a fun way to exit the Trucking career, no that's not my plan. :p
The regular tractor trailer spots are still free so I'll just use that long enough to take a shower

Empty spots doesn't mean unpurchased spots. Often times those spots are bought by drivers who know they're getting there late when all the free spots will be full. If you wind up getting towed because you couldn't figure that out, that's on you.

Since you are not paying for the fuel, technically those points belong to the truck owner.
Now, if you have an arrangement with the truck owner for that, maybe you should talk to him about the paid parking issue.

I'm working for a company with about 300 trucks. Me and several other drivers expressed concerns about parking when the company first announced their intentions to sign the contract. It was noted but ultimately disregarded. So it's either deal with it or move on to someone else and I'm not quite ready to move on yet.

Does your company not reimburse you for parking?

Filled spots also don't mean purchased spots. You don't use the PFJ app do you?

Nope. They were quite specific about making drivers responsible for any paid parking fees, and that was during orientation back in 2019.
