I drive a 2019 Peterbilt flat top I have a 102 inch whip I have a mounted behind the cab on the bar that is below the window in the center behind the cab. I have a fuel line on the 102 whip up to the top of the cab roofline my swr is 1 on 1 and 1 on 40 …
I know that my swrs are good, but could it be reflecting, too much power but to the antenna? Thus actually having a bad swr, like tricking the radio. I get good reports from it. Thank you
102 whip on my Pete

It probably is fuel line to insulate the antenna when it hits the back of the cab.

Later on while thinking about that, it dawned on me about the auto correct feature. So I assumed he typed fishing and it changed it to fuel? It would have to be an awful strong fishing line to keep that tall whip straight and not break. Since the op hasn't replied back, he's probably having a good laugh at us trying to figure it out. Ha.
