    Hi,
So after lurking here for over 16bmonths, I have gone from reading to cdl school to starter reefer company to 12 months experience. I am not a fan of where I work and wish to change. Im from nyc and have deliveree to about 10 to 15 locations in nyc without too much trouble other than some slow backing which irritates my fellow drivers but thats about it.

Im interested in a new company where they will know my name and treat me human and pay me ok. Ideally id like something local or regional. Im going to check the typical spots hunts point and the brooklyn market but being new id like to consider what im not thinking about. Good ltl companies in nyc? Tanker? Have no exp in that and dont want to do another starter company.. Im using googlefu but im a bit overwhelmed and could use a bit of guidence. Cheers!

    A. Duie Pyle does LTL freight in NYC. Not for the faint of heart, but it sounds like you've already been thrown to the wolves and survived. They probably aren't hiring until spring, but you could call their terminal(s) and ask. Carteret, NJ and E. Brunswick, NJ. Future terminal opening in the Bronx.

NEMF might take you. They're in Newark/Elizabeth near IKEA

There's a terminal in NJ near the holland tunnel (Manhattan ave & rt 1) that had a sign out for months, they had Schnider equipment but for some reason I think they're not Schnider.

New Penn has a terminal in Brooklyn.

You've already done the hard part, proven yourself in NYC. Companies should be lining up to hire you now.

    I think the calculation is 12/12 .
12 months NYC = 12 years and a bunch more grey hair.

Thanks all. I grew up partially in nyc and been there my whole life. Driving from canarsie down flatbush avenue to brooklyn meat market by grand army plaza at 2pm on a monday was one of the best experiences ive had next to rolling down 70 in colorado west of denver.
