Doesn't look promising for me. My dad lived 7-1/2 years with it and my oldest living brother (79 yrs old) had to be placed in an Alzheimer's care facility last year. I'm fat... female... not college educated... split my head open in my teens... and don't exercise regularly anymore.
BUT... on the OTHER hand... I'm under 70, a non-smoker (married to a smoker, though), not diabetic (knock on wood), eat a vitamin-rich diet, get plenty of mental stimulation at my job, and -- blessed with a wealth of friends -- I'm socially engaged.
I try not to think about it too much 'cause Alzheimer's just plain sucks.
