a couple ways to do it ether loading out of a 400bbl upright 20 foot tall. tape gauge 1.67bbl per inch or some fresh water depots are metered. have someone watch the meter as you load and let you know 10 bbl increments and mark it out. most make marks on the tank with a permanent marker or paint marker. remember though that these marks can not be used as a exact volume measurement as if your trailer is facing uphill or down it can vary what your level shows. try to have the trailer as level as possible when marking it out.

The company Im working for now has quite a few of those jack county trailers. on your back sight glass the level thats about even with the top wing nut on the back hatch is about 60 bbls. then right around your light bar on top is about 100 to 110 bbls. that is if youre pulling a 130 bbl trailer and not a 150 or 180. i pull a 150 bbl troxel trailer so at the top of my light bar is about 130 bbls. hope this helps
