I dont own it but that is what I drive... My company runds Volvos with d13 and i-shift as well as frieght liners with Detroit's. Ive only had one instance of engine problems... Engine had 490k miles on it and it dropped the oil pick up tube, pretty much a complete rebuild.
The number one issue we have with the d13 (according to my shop manager) is cams... They like to twist cam lobes. But I couldnt tell you how often this occured. My personal experience has been pretty positive.
I ran a '12 670 d13 with I-shift and a 13 730 d13 with an I-shift and other than one set of injectors on the 12 under warranty (upgraded in the 13) the trucks were the nicest and most trouble free I have run in my 45 years on the road.
