THIS IS WHAT WE HAD TO START WITH.
SOME SHOTS OF INSIDE THE CAB.
WE SHORTENED THE WHEEL BASE A LITTLE AS WELL AS TOSSING THE PETE AIR-TRAC IN FAVOR OF AIR-LEAF. WE REBUILT THE AXLES AND INSTALLED REMAN DIFFS. THE FRAME TOOK A LOT OF WORK TO BRING IT BACK.
HERE'S A PICTURE OF THE A-MODEL CAT THAT IS BEING REPLACED BY C-16.
A COUPLE OF PICTURES OF THE BEGINNING STAGES TO REBUILDING THE FRONT END.
A PICTURE OF THE STRIPPED CHASSIS WAITING TO BE RESTORED.
HERE IS A PICTURE OF THE FINISHED INTERIOR.
WE WANTED TO DO SOMETHING A LITTLE DIFFERENT WITH THE HEADACHE RACK, SO WE CUT UP A SHEET OF STAINLESS AND MOUNTED WITHOUT USING ANY MOUNTING HARDWARE FOR A CLEANER LOOK.
HERE'S A PICTURE OF THE BACK SHOWING THE 5TH WHEEL BALL USED FOR PULLING THE MATCHING CAMP TRAILER!
A COUPLE OF PICTURES OF THE C-16. WE BUILT ALL THE PIPING FOR THE CONVERSION AND HAD THEM CERAMIC COATED.
SOME KENWORTH GRILLE BARS TO ADD A LITTLE EXTRA TO THE FRONT OF THE TRUCK.
2 PICTURES OF THE TRUCK FINISHED.

Nice looking pete! Would've looked cool all stretched out but sometimes that isn't practical.
How did you mount the stainless on the headache rack? -
Looks great.

That's awesome. Love the color.

Thank you for the compliments. The stainless is held on by a 2 part epoxy.

Cool project, thanks for sharing the pics. How big a camper do you pull with it?
-
Turned out pretty nice, wish the pics were a bit bigger.

I'll look back and find what it was. I can't recall right off hand. We use .120 gauge stainless. The epoxy is strong enough to actually wrinkle the stainless when it dries. I'm working on making bigger pictures.
Les2 Thanks this. -
bigger pics... [/echo]
