We have a '96 Western Star that was an ex-plow truck and the cab is rotten, but the rest of the truck is in great shape. We have started looking at a few different options and have found a 2007 International 9400 & a 2007 Volvo D12 at a wrecker that the cab is in great shape and great price.
I have tried to find a wiring diagram for the Western Star but they seem to not exist anymore so how much of a pain is it going to be to swap it over? Can we figure out the wiring ourselves?

Your taking a cab with multiplex wiring and body control modules and putting it on a chassis that didnt have it. Make my head hurt thinking about it.

Just by a like cab and be done with it.

It is a much easier swap with the same cab.

Different cab mounts differently, hood mounts differently, wiring is different...

Much easier to use the same cab.
