Hi, looking at purchasing a 97 International 9400 w/ 12.7 DD60. I'm not familiar with these older trucks & diag hardware.

What type of diagnostic port do these trucks have? I'm looking into what it would take for me to purchase whatever is needed to solve problems on my own to some extent while on the road.

edit: Is it a standard OBD2 port?

More than likely would be J1587, which would be a 6 pin round Deutsche style connector IIRC.
