Yeah about right, change your air dryer cartridge yearly like your suppose to. The I shift is air operated for the most part. Water contamination is very bad for them. also bad for your emissions system. A $150.00 air drier cartridge yearly could of saved you thousands.

Why people neglect the air system is beyond me. Is so cheap and easy
But no you didn’t get raped.

 

I bet the old exhaust is just as sore as if he did!

 

Also if you haven’t done so The Def filter maybe due to be changed, 7 th injector cleaned or replaced, looks like it’s a team truck with the miles piled on,
Not beating on you but all that could of been avoided by preventive maintenance
And not breakdown maintenance. I don own any Volvo trucks . But was a shop foreman for a fleet of 450 Volvo trucks. Go to Volvo trucks website and snd print off the
Abbreviated maintenance schedule. .
also if you haven’t done May want to change power steering fluid and filter.
Steering pump and box are not cheap.
The fluid gets abrasive after awhile.

remember proactive maintenance beats reactive maintenance.

 

Can’t ya just have the DEF filter baked?

 

That’s the DPF filter your thinking of.
DEF filter is for the pig piss in the tank
It’s a cartridge filter in bottom of pig piss tank.

 

Question why won't this be covered under warranty? I shift is covered for 750k .

Moisture contamination, air system was not maintained also emissions system was comprised. Maintenance needs to be done to any piece of equipment. You just can’t run them into the ground then expect the MFG to warranty things caused by a lack of maintenance. Cause and effect
Not to get on a rant but. Cracks me up people don’t want to take time to read maintenance manual or operators manual.
Won’t give the equipment the time and maintenance it requires.

Guess what the equipment is going to get the attention it requires. will it be on your schedule when you can control costs and down time or on the trucks schedule when it says #### you Iam done and got to get a ####in in the process.
