Ive got a problem. Ive got a 1st gen VNL with leaky dash switches. Seems like used replacements are hit or miss, and new stock is getting slim or expensive. Volvo has abandoned air switches in newer models, making it worse. I currently have options to get replacements, but I would like to keep future options open.

From what Im seeing, those air rocker switches look almost the same with slight design differences, even made by the same company(s). Some are 2 way, some 3
way. Different button design, vertical vs horizontal. Internals seem (almost) the same. Seems that one could, in some cases, directly interchange the whole switch, or at least swap out internals. Theres essentially 3 pieces, mechanism, button, and button frame.

And 2 way switches could use tee fittings to fit 3 way setups.

Does anyone have experience with this?
