Jeez, you all are WAY too sensitive..Try driving 55mph on the 605 in Los Angeles..I get at least 8 or 9 a day....I just laugh it off, drives them nuts if they see you laughing. Got to love those illegal alien can haulers..their hysterical, fly by me, stop for the traffic..lather, rinse, repeat...When they high beam me, I just go even slower, drives them bonkers.

Perhaps a review of the thread might be a good idea. The consensus appears to be "Don't sweat it" and some personal anecdotes to commiserate with the O/P. Kind of like .....your response.

I collect them, seriously, I track them down, cut off said offending object, dry it and hang it behind my bunk curtain. Pretty soon I'l be all over the news, they will (hopefully) call me the finger bandit and I will be famous!!!
    happy trails

I think they'll probably call you a psycho trucker on a cross country rampage, but you can always hope.

The 5 minutes of fame is all that matters, really though, in all seriousness, can someone shooting the bird actully hurt someone? I am pretty courteous as a driver and I get em shot at me from time to time, and, I have not one scar or bruise to show for it yet. It's not like they drug him out of the truck and put a good beating on him. Thicken up that skin and get used to it, the four wheelers have no idea what we have to do to keep them from killing themselves and us in the process, all they know is that were holding them up, slowing them down, getting in their way and they wouldn't care about the truth if it was force fed to them. And the truth is, it's maybe 10% of the cars out there that drive like that. The same as it's maybe 10% of truck drivers that drive bad. But since it's the nature of people to lump things into catagories those small percentages make the numbers seem higher than they are.
Where am I going with this? I have no idea, I probably shouldn't post till I've been home for a day and had a good nights sleep. Mama's calling me to bed, be safe .

Here's how important getting the finger from a cretin is.......I use to run the mouintains years ago pulling triples with a 350 Cummins as you can imagine very slow up hills. A the top in a wide spot I would pull over for traffic to pass. Well people would honk there horn and wave or wait for it........give me the finger! You never knew which one you would get. It's a matter of personal taste I guess.

I do the "blow a kiss" thing, then sit back and laugh my a@@ off.
I cross the Big Mac daily, and when loaded the speed is 20mph. Quite frequently there is a lane closed, so you are down one. The 4wheeleres do everything they can to get in front of you before it narrows down. Once it opens back up, I'll go to the right lane, and watch the reaction of some of the "important ones", really, it makes my day to know that I influenced some ones life to that extent, all just by doing what you have too.

Then comes the toll booth. It seems a few times the maroon that pops me the bird is dead in front of me. No, I wouldn't intentionally hit them, but I do get a bit close. Hey, ya gotta keep the line tightened up, ya know!!:biggrin_25525:

    Could be anywhere
I usually call them a clown (preceded by a specific modifier!), then actually salute them. I have my days when they annoy me more than on others, but it is what it is and what it will continue to be.
