If you are currently at a truck driving school, perhaps the school can help place you with a trucking company upon your completion of getting your class "A" CDL.
In the mean time, start applying for jobs at various trucking companies in your area. You may want to also apply at various over the road, (OTR), companies that hire out of your area.
Your profile says that your birthday is November 2, which is soon coming up. I'm guessing that you will soon be 21. By that time, more doors should open up for you.
Suggestion:
1) Find a good credit union in your area & open an account there, if you don't already have one. Usually one needs anywhere from $5 to $100 for a savings account in one of these credit unions. Make the deposit & forget about it.
2) Then open a FREE checking account that does NOT require a minimum balance or have any service charges at all. Use the FREE checking account to set up direct deposit for your paycheck, when you eventually find a job. The FREE checking account may also provide a debit card for you, to withdraw money out of any ATM machines. Be careful when using a debit card.
Best of luck to you. God bless you & your entire family!
God bless every American and their families! God bless the U,S,A,!
The absolute sheer driving force of our national economy - without truck drivers, our entire national economy would come to an absolute standstill - if not outright be dead.
Over the mountains, through the woods, into the valleys, coast to coast, from sea to shining sea - truck drivers can and do go anywhere and everywhere, every day, every night, all year round.Last edited: Sep 11, 2023
