Hey guys, I've got a 2001 International 4700 with air brakes. Braking power with no load doesn't seem that great and when I throw some pallets up on the deck it's terrible (not overloaded, under gvwr still) the brake shoes are plenty thick and were replaced just before I got the truck (probably less than 10k miles.) Any advice where to look next? Or is this normal for these trucks?

First check to make is your brake adjustment. Then I recommend having them checked by a mechanic to make sure they are working properly and nothing is worn out such as cam bushings.
