    I am hearing more of this whining and not a grind coming from under the boot . Maybe I am over thinking but my boot is messed up ,so the noise is more coming through the cab . Anyone ever experienced this when transmission is about to go out ? Shifting and going through all gears are fine . What are symptoms of rhe manual tranny going out ?

    I would assume grinding. Clutch pedal to high or to low. Losing power on hills.have you checked the fluid?
