im looking to buy a 2007 volvo it has 1million miles on a d12 465hp. the person is asking 14k for the truck. the truck it self looks like they took good care of the truck. My concern is it worth the money the person is asking and how soon I would need to do a overhaul on the engine. any one have experience with a d12 engine and could inform me about it.
2007 volvo vnl d12 advice??

Do a dyno and a blowby, it will answer the question about the rebuild.
Tug Toy, Oldironfan and rulonwaholla Thank this. -
Asking price seems high for a D12 engine truck.
Inspection would be needed to answer all the questions.
If you run in California, that engine does not meet California emissions.Oldironfan Thanks this. -
Has the egr been deleted ?
Older D12 engines could go 1.6 million before rebuild.
Get oil sample, and dyno run. -
