2009 International LF637 - Engine shutting off

    We have a customer complaining about the engine shutting off when he accelerates quickly. If he eases into acceleration, it's fine but if he gives it too much then it will just shut down. The check engine will flash but then he can turn the truck back on and get moving again with no engine light. He does have contamination in his coolant which we advised. He doesn't believe this could be the problem. Thoughts? Any other ideas?

    Drive it with a scanner on it and duplicate the problem. I have seen fault codes at that moment but not logged in memory.
    Cannot explain that but have seen it. Ones I recall are an E model in a Star and a 6.0 in 4 thousand series IHC.
