2013 Freightliner Cascadia engine code problems need help

Nox sensor issue. Google search says. Are you derated?

One of our guys did a One-Box this year. You only get the box it's self, the sensors are not included. He had a problem shortly after and found out they just put the same old sensors onto the new box. After they changed one of his NOx sensors it was good.

 

Yhea, the yellow check engine light. Its gonna do like a 30% derate soon. You'll be able to run, but you gonna notice it. I wont bet money, but prolly that Nox sensor. Have a shop with a real computer run a parked regen and compare in and out numbers. Sensor may be just going bad and numbers have drifed out of range. I had them problems aswell on a 2011 i had.

 

Oh yeah, i sunk about $1000 into it with swaping out sensors and varoius things brfore mechanic told me it was prolly the one box/scr, it all one unit. Est on one box new was like 8k installed if i remember, i sold the truck to a guy that was gonna do a delete on the whole thing. As far as i know the guy deleted it and hes been using the truck since then, he has his yard down the road from me and i see my old truck all the time in and out. If i ever get there again, hopefully not, id prolly go that route. Start with a good mechanic and a laptop and see whats going on.
