Hey guys so here is the story with the Fuel filter light that i have been getting every 50-75 miles. So i had an oil analysis done and it showed that i have some fuel in the oil. Now i purchased this truck like this and whats interesting is i drove it this way for 9k miles on a new fuel and oil filter kit. No issues what so ever. After i randomly decided to do an oil analysis, and it came back with the bad results, i instantly went to the VOLVO dealer and had the do a fuel leak test, the clear tube bubble test and the DYE test that they pour into the fuel tank and check around the fuel injectors. After they were done, they charged me $630 and said my 2nd fuel injector is bad. Now, i have never had any symptoms besides the oil analysis, no misfire, not weak... The second i pulled out of the volvo dealer my Fuel filter light comes on. I had a brand new spare filter so i drained allot of the fuel and replaced both water/fuel and the fuel on the other side. 50 miles down the road i get the light again. Im trying to figure out what the issue could be. BTW i drained most of the the 1/8 tank of fuel i had, burned through a little of it and put in fresh fuel, " No difference "

Question is what is the reason im getting the fuel filter light even though my filters are new and why does it disappear for only 50 miles when i drain the water/fuel separator?

    How many miles?

Pump going bad can trip the filter code if pressure is low

True. Didn't know such low mileage.

With the injector found to be bad, I'd say start there.

Fuel filter codes can also come from the legendary Volvo POS Cups... And from their POS spin on fuel filter bracket that can crack.

Hopefully it's simple and the injector takes care of it.
