Looking at purchasing a new Peterbilt 389 with Cummins E6. I'm actually located in Australia and we don't have the E6 here yet. Are you guys having any dramas with them? Anything I should be worried about?

Not sure what e6 lines up with our epa rules over here.
I have a 2015 isx. 500/1850. I think it must meet epa14. While I only have just broke 100,000 km, so far it has been flawless. knock on wood.

I searched and couldn't find any reference to a "E" series Cummins motor. The newest ones are "X" series.

Ok. Basically it's a 2016 Peterbilt with a Cummins at 600hp . The seller here in Australia is calling it a Euro 6 but I don't think it is. Any ideas what it would be?

I posted a link and created a thread awhile back on the new Cummins motor, but unfortunately have no clue where it is. Try the search- sorry.
If you google Cummins it probably be on there web site.

Euro 6 is an emission standard I'm pretty sure. It's probably an X15 Cummins

It will be a EPA14 engine.
    Reclassified as a EURO6.
Because EPA 14 is more strict then EURO6 they can do that.
    I would NOT buy it.
Remember that not many mechanics will be trained for that engine.
    Buy the EURO 5.
I think you would be looking at a KW instead off a Pete
Where do you run in Australia?

My heart is set on a Peterbilt at the moment. We can only import them NEW into Australia if they are fitted with this Euro 6 engine that is currently on trial here. They are basically suggesting that we run the engines as they are until the warranty runs out and then to delete some of the unnecessary egr stuff if its giving dramas. The ones they are importing are Canadian Logging Specs - built up fairly tough to suit Australian conditions. I run a lot of dirt etc, covering most of New South Wales.
