2017 4700 DD13 de-rating to 75%

    This isn't my normal truck, so I'm not super savvy on it. It'll be pulling along fine on a hill, showing 99-100% engine load, then it's as if it enters a limp mode, and the engine load drops to 75% until I stop and turn it off for a minute or two.

    I don't have a scan tool, and the company I work for can be difficult when it comes to checking out something like this... (e.g. is it still pulling freight? Keep at her, then!)

    I'm pretty familiar with Cummins motors, I just don't know where to start looking.

    Check the basics first. You look at the air filter? Maybe it's partially clogged. Seen this happen before.

    Also, if you have any cummins codes, I can look that up. Just need the ESN.
