We're having trouble with the rear lift axle (steerable) wobbling while the trucks moving 15mph+. We had all the bushings, shocks and tires replaced on the axle a few days ago an had the air pressure adjusted. The new shocks have already blown out so looking for any advice as to what could be the issue. We've also had the bearings and kingpins inspected.

No pictures? Try getting a stabilizer.

By your picture it is a Watson Chalin lift axle. You can find their manuals online and they have a load/pressure chart. We run ours around 60-65 psi on quad and quint axles with the 12K and 13.2K lift axles. They recommend 1/32 of toe, I always made it a strong 1/32 or more of a 1/16.

Problem has been solved. We were replacing the rear shocks with the monroe brand which apparently cant handle the loads we haul. After replacing them out with original Watson Chalin shocks, all the trucks with the wobbles are now riding smoothly. Thanks for the replies and help
