The last one in 1814 I think, rang bells in Boston. Rocked the white house etc.

Just don't use that I-55 bridge near memphis. They already made the cold decision that if it happens, when it does. They want that old thing to drop into the river and cheaper to replace. Use the 40 bridge instead. You have a even chance.

Man what planet is this? It's been a tough winter for months now.
CNN is calling for mega northeasters now.

SKY IS FALLING. SKY IS FALLING ( per CNN ).

    Per Dave---

Never you mind the chicken little media. Whip the people into a lather.

It rains on the just and unjust alike.

If you climb high enough in any storm you will see the sun.

Last time we had a major quake, it rang church bells on the east coast. When you've got bedrock shaking, it carries its power a lot farther than out in the desert sands of Calif---ya.

No surprise there. Kansas may get more tornadoes than other state in the country but when it comes to the violent, destructive tornadoes look no further than Bama, especially in the northern part of the state. Muscle Shoals,Birmingham,Huntsville,Gadsden, Montgomery and Tuscaloosa are always under the gun.

I remember a few years ago there was a minor tremor where the epicenter was located in Sycamore,in DeKalb County. My father said he felt it(and he lived in Elgin at the time) and my mother said it sounded like a loud bang, and she lives in Batavia. Initially it registered a Magnitude 4 on the Richter scale but was downgraded to 3.8 I shudder to think what would’ve happened if was a Magnitude 6 or higher.

Even Atlanta will have to keep an eye on this system this evening. A raised tornado threat extends into the Atlanta metro

For those in the ATL metro area,Chatt,Gainesville and Huntsville/Decatur areas I’d keep an ear to the weather radios and an eye on the skies if I were you.
Time to pull the storm shelters out of mothballs!
