I own a 2020 International HX520, when I pull my parking brake to park my rig it takes approximately 5 seconds for it to engage and lock up. It’s slowly getting longer for this process. I’ve bought a new parking brake valve but have not replaced it as of yet.

    Possibilities:
internal air leak in the parking brake valve
Could be an air leak in the spring brake
    Sticking at the valve
Air dryer issues excessive moisture buildup.

Likely a quick release valve sticking

I do have a very small leak coming from my brake valve body. A little soapy water showed some small bubbles from the tractor side handle. I cannot hear any leaks coming from any of the spring brakes and all air tanks are continually purged. Im leaning on the brake valve body, at least a starting point. Thanks again for the possibilities.

When you say quick release valve you are referring to the parking brake valve correct?

No, it's a valve under the fifth wheel that releases all of the air in the brake chambers.

When you set the brake, the dash valve sends a signal to the quick release valve, the quick release valve then dumps all air on the supply side of the brake chambers.

It's easy to change and reasonably cheap

When you pull the knob you should hear the air exhaust rapidly out in the general area of the drive axles. If not, see the above posts.
