I'm trying to find a good parts resource online for Volvo parts. Of course, Volvo doesn't want to give this info up. My local dealer may or may not tell me the part numbers of certain things so I can shop elsewhere but on some things I need to shop online and do the work myself and save some money.

For instance, 2021 VNL 860. How do I find out what front (disc) brake rotors and pads I need? I cannot find this info online. No year/make/model searches on most sites. I understand why this is on trucks that are spec'd so specifically but I can't afford to have a dealer do stuff like this.

Anyone know how I can find out what front brakes I have short of pulling them off? Hub must be pulled to access these rotors. Pads are old enough to probably have no print on them.

What is on it? Bendix, Meritor? Pretty much just two different style pads.

Looks like Meritor, this tag was barely hanging on to one of the calipers.
Outer wheel assembly is ConMet 10036715

I can try them Monday if I can't find something online. I've already found 2 possible options on their site but I'm not sure which one I need.

If I was at the yard I would give you the part # for the pads. Can get them at most parts stores.
If you have to change a rotor, junk the con met and use meritor.

I'll ping you Monday. So are you saying that since my outer hub is ConMet that the rotor is Conmet too? I see these together and separate online. I'm still not sure exactly what rotor I need. If I have to I can pull a wheel and pull a pad. I've done pads before and I know it's easy but I didn't look when I had the steers off the truck yesterday. I should've.

Could have either rotor. Con Met is cheaper. I had a lot of problem with them cracking.
If the rotor is still in spec then just leave it. If it's cracked/out of spec replace with a Meritor.

It's cracked. Both have hairline cracks. Somehow the dealer wanting to sell me a truck passed this on their DOT. I'm gathering prices on parts before I call to talk to them about this. It's partly on me for not noticing before I bought the truck though.

This is the only problem I've found with their DOT on the truck so it's not the end of the world.

Heat cracks or actually cracked through?
