I'm a company driver. Just got assigned a 27 880.micro mirrors that suck. Engine idles for 5 minutes then shuts down, but our shop will over ride that . Brakes take alot of effort to stop. The feel wooden. Drifts around the lane. I took it to Kenworth and the tech just drove it around bobtail and said the brakes work.all I know is it doesn't stop like the previous 6 or 7 older ones I've had. He agreed it felt like it needed an alignment, but they could do it. Went to southern tire and they told me the tire rod bolt was finger tight. They aligned it but it feels the same. Now at 6000 miles I got a low coolant warning. I oped the hood and the reservoir was down by half. No leaks up high, all hoses dry. Coolant pooled by the lower right corner of the radiator. Never got low enough to overheat. Topped off and checked every time I stop. Usually dry and good level. Today in stop and go traffic in gary I got the low coolant warning again. Half low. Stopped in loves and decided to stay til midnight to avoid slow traffic . I'm taking it in to Kenworth after this trip. Just wanted to share my experience with a lemon.
2027 kenworth review, spoiler alert, it's a lemon!

Is this the first disc brake truck you’ve driven?
if so it’s a little different feel from drum brakes.
Coolant pooled by lower right corner sounds like a radiator failure. Had a failure on mine around 150k.TheLoadOut, OLDSKOOLERnWV and Oxbow Thank this. -
Gotta love new technology. Who does it benefit?, not the drivers for sure …….. shop does
TheLoadOut and Ddh77777 Thank this. -
Back in the day guys would drive 10 to 15,000 miles then get a nut and bolt check plus first oil change usually around 50,000 miles once suspension has settled get a good alignment.. the nut and bolt check was often free at dealership
Numb Thanks this. -
Aw, poor baby, maybe this would change your mind,,just being a wiseaxx, new trucks are always a hassle. Brakes need to "break" in, the tie rod loose is unacceptable, and for what now, $200 grand? Unacceptable. Naturally nobody is going to make you drive an old GMC Crackerbox, but for comparison, you have a nice truck to drive. Besides, it's a company truck, just be glad it isn't yours.

Occasionally I will help a freind and drive a truck for him, 2013 & 2020 389 Pete’s. The 2020 especially feels like I’m pushing the floorboard out with 20 lbs of pressure on the application gauge. Totally different than my 95 KW with drums…. -
Paccar will have cold leaks when new. Go around and snug all the rad CT hose clamps by hand. They will all need a turn or so.
High Stepper, Magoo1968 and Concorde Thank this. -
Kenworth quality is down the crapper. The mine I work at now just got three of the last brand new C500's built before they ended production and introduced the new C580.
2.3 million dollars of junk. Even the paint is peeling off them. -
A you tuber called Dominique the dump truck driver built a beautiful KW and trailer combo and it’s in the shop because it won’t start a burn brand new . You’d figure with 1.5 decades of experience that would be solved by now but it’s still hit and miss sadly..

Sadly build quality and reliability are things of the past. But they are not too shy to charge you ridiculous prices for junk now. But everyone keeps buying them, so never going to change.Magoo1968 and TurkeyCreekJackJohnson Thank this.
