2m, 6m, or 10m Ham radios which is best, why

Since when can you user a ham radio out of band ?

The rules for using one LEGALY are very limited at best .... You can use a part 90 radio on the ham bands ...

 

When you are proper licensed with the Civil Air Patrol (CAP) or Military Auxiliary Radio System (MARS) and the radio equipment meets their standards.

 

Correct but outside of that ......

 

To drive a transverter.

A working FT-100D I guess there are some left .... I just sold mine .... WORKING ....

 

I wonder how long it worked for the new owner??

 

The new owner has 40+ years of working on electronic controls and was a commo guy in the Navy in Vietnam ,,,,,

The radio is just fine as it was when I owned it . The FT100D's problem is it has no reserve when you over heat it and will blow the VHF/UHF finals.

It is not a good buy for someone who likes to run a radio hot .....

 

You haven't seen a crystal controlled CB in years. They are all synthesized.
