EDIT - My thread title is supposed to be "3+ hours to change a single tire and counting".

I can't go back and edit it.

Here at the TA in Gary Indiana.

checked in at 1pm. Got pulled into garage at 4pm. It's now 7:10pm and they haven't replaced the one individual super single tire that they were supposed to replace. This job needed no mechanical expertise or diagnosing. Tread depth was bad. Replace tire. I told them this. Breakdown department told me this.

I'll be paid for none of this. 6+ hours of sitting in this ####hole.

This is why turnover rate in trucking, especially OTR trucking, is through the roof.

I ask you, how long should it take to change one super single tire on a trailer? 1 hour? Tops?

We had a driver sit a day once because it took somebody 12 hours to change one brake chamber.

Turnover rate. So if you quit and go to another company it will make the TA better?

How long did I spend at a Petro the other night just to have a regular trailer tire fixed, with no one in front of me?

    3 hours.

Spent like 10 hours at the Petro in Slidell once for a drive tire.

    Welcome to trucking.

I don't see how this would equate to anything to do with turn over rate either. Well except for TA nad their tire man, he should be turned over, at the very least woken up.
Have you ask what the hold up is?

There is no hold up. They waited 20 minutes for my breakdown department to approve it. Ok. Other then that, just worthless man.

Very tired. Very frustrated. Now loves parking is filled. Which means I'll pay $12 for a shower here at the TA because I didn't have time to shower yesterday.

This job is so frustrating sometimes.

Plenty of other places in that area to get a tire changed. That TA would have been my last resort.
