Hello,
I just recently retired after working 30 years as a Police Officer.
It has been about 5 months now; and I am bored of my daily routine day to day retired life.
Fortunately, I do have a reasonable pension. However, I have always had an interest in becoming a Truck Driver.
I am not committed to a mortgage - have no spouse or children.
I currently reside in Indianapolis.
I would like to receive advice and information from both new and experienced truckers on starting my second career in the field.
Thank you for taking the time to read my post and for your responses.
Respectfully

Good plan. Run OTR and see the lower 48. Canada is extra treat.
Where is your location? If we know this, maybe help you find a decent company & CDL school.austinmike and nextgentrucker Thank this. -

Indianapolis is awesome for trucking. Are you thinking of getting a CDL through a private school or through company sponsored training?
nextgentrucker and Lonesome Thank this.
