I have a 359 Pete with a bad cat 3406b that's air to water. I also have an air to air 3406b I can put in it. Im wondering if I can swap the intake manifolds and convert the air to air to air to water? Ive toyed with the idea of converting the Pete to air to air, but its a short hood and Im concerned there won't be enough space with the ac condenser.

Yes the water jacket manifold bolts right on.
Being a short hood has no bearing on if air to air will fit. The distance from the grill to front of the engine is the same as an exhd. The extra 8 inches is between the back of the engine and the fire wallpushbroom, spsauerland, Roger McG and 3 others Thank this. -
650cat425 Thanks this.

Now that said if your crafty you can make something work but usually looks like hell. If it was mine I'd throw the JWAC on it and run the hell out of it -
blairandgretchen and 650cat425 Thank this.
