Anyone know the best way to remove and replace the breather bracket bolts on a 379. Trying to install rear breather lighting and the bolts just spin.

I have a huck rivet insert tool I got off Amazon.
As far as removing the old one - not sure if there’s a tool for that, or just carefully drill out with a step bit. -
-
I would attempt to drill out and replace with bolts and a nut, but I can’t get a socket
or wrench in the tight space to hold the nutblairandgretchen Thanks this. -

Anyone know what size rivnut or mandrel to use for these breather brackets?

Not the one I bought, but you get the idea.
Rivnut - or Rivet nut. I couldn't remember the right word. 'Nutsert' comes to mind too. I dunno. I'm not very handy.
I used mine to install a LED bar on top of my sleeper. You have to keep the tool dead straight as the handles squeeze together, or you'll break the bit. Practice on some thin sheet metal before you go for it. I don't have any experience removing them.
For the love of everything holy - put some anti-seize on them all before you put them back in.
I'd take the other ones out to get an idea of the correct size and thread pitch before you buy the tool kit - make sure it has the correct thingy.
Let us know how you get on.sawmill Thanks this.
