You will only know for sure if its working properly by plugging it in and seeing if the ecm is reading the clutch switch.
It could be as simple as changing some pin outs on truck side -

The shop I go to has done a couple of 6NZ implants into new gliders and told me they needed to change the ecm harness for everything to comply

Update... I had a guy just plug into the truck that knew what he was doing and he turned my engine fan back on and also got the Jake's and cruise to work in about 30 minutes. Thanks for all the suggestions

Most likely the mechanic he went to changed some parameter settings in the ecm to read J1939 data.
