Company Driver Trucking Jobs | CLI Transport

Ok this looks like a decent hazmat/tanker company. They advertise 4 day work week and a 40-44 hour work week, so probably not much OT. Still, this would be decent pay and plenty of time off. They also advertise holiday pay, but don’t seem to say anything about insurance, so perhaps that’s a catch.

I’m confused about the job requirements.

    • Driver Requirements:
    • Must have Hazmat/Tanker Endorsement or be willing to obtain Hazmat/Tanker
    • Must live within a 1 hour & 15 minute commute to our Columbus location (4182 Janitrol Road, Columbus, OH)
    • Petroleum Transport Driver – 2 Year Position:
      • At least 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
      • 130,000 tractor trailer miles
      • Required 8-week training program
    • Petroleum Transport Driver – 4 Year Position:
      • At least 4 years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
      • 260,000 tractor trailer miles

Apparently there are different positions depending on the experience you have. Not sure what the difference between the 2 year & 4 year position is. Apparently they’ll consider you for employment if you don’t yet have the hazmat/tanker endorsements, though there’s an 8 week training program. Does anyone know anything about this company? I don’t reside in Ohio, but $39.65 hourly is pretty good for that state.

On the website, looks like two different positions.
One requires an 8 week training program & one doesn't.
Do the short app. on the opening page and see what happens.

I don't know if they still do it, but around the Harrisburg, PA area the couple drivers I know that worked for them kept really weird schedules. I think they started work the same time each day, but it was like 5 days on and 2 off, then like 4 on 3 off, or something to that effect.
Again I don't know if that still the case, or if they do it like that elsewhere. The drivers I know that worked for them either were fired or quit. None of them are still there.

I work for them out of Pa. They are a good company to work for, they are a private carrier, only deliver to sheetz stores. I think it would be better to have hazmat and tanker endorsements before applying. As for insurance it is blue cross blue shield with dental and vision available. If they are busy extra days are available. Not sure about the difference between the 2 and 4 year experience, started after I did, probably just extra training or the 2 year, its all paid.

Do they still have the weird schedules? 5/3, 4/3 or whatever it is? Or did they go to a typical 5 day work week? I've had interest in them for a while, but that schedule is a deal breaker

Good to know. I currently have hazmat/tanker but would probably have to test for them again upon relocating.

Also did you work plenty of OT? As a single person with no children, I could handle the weird schedule if the paycheck is good.

Usually during the summer you can work as much overtime you want. But so far this summer with the economy the way it is work is pretty slow.
