    How was the tire wear?

A wheel out of balance will cause uneven tire wear. Bad shocks could do that too.

mile marker 27 and BUMBACLADWAR Thank this.

I agree, tire wear tells a lot, but if it just happened out of the blue, I'd check the driveline. Besides, I remember years ago,, nobody EVER balanced spoke wheels. Vibration was just part of trucking.

Have the toe in CK at a real shop that only does FT. end work, they can go over ft. end and drive/line till they find what is making it shake, my back hurts just looking at your truck and thinking my 4 spring truck like yours, mine is so short that fuel tank is under the door and has a hoop to put your boot in to start climb up, and drive/shaft is so short that is hard to change u/joints ?

Tires aren’t wore bad and as for the shocks, well the bushings on each of them look good but one or both may be froze up.

Short wb on springs have under floor of cab vibes by nature. You will know were every little pebble on an asphalt road is. When you bobtail and sometimes hit a good bump or frost joint it will scoot you sideways and make you feel like you are gonna go head over heels.
Nice Transtar. A model that was once a dime a dozen is now a rare and unique sight to see. I like.

Are those 20’s or 22’s on the rear drive axle and 22.5’s or 24.5’s on front drive axle? I noticed it’s got tubeless demountable wheels on front drive and lock ring tube-type wheels on the rear drive. If the tires on the rear are 10.00-22’s they’ve gotta be well over 25years old even if they are radials.

20’s on the rear at that time and now I’ve got all 22.5’s on all tubeless rims now.

10-4. That eliminates the chance of that mismatch causing the issues.
