Good thing it was at night, I bet that was a smoky son of a gun. I remember as a kid in Wisconsin, "Oleo margarine" was STRICTLY prohibited. The dairy council in the 60s was mighty powerful. "Wisconsin Oleo Wars", it was called. If people wanted margarine, they had to go just south of the border to Illinois, where it was legal. Not unlike contraband if caught. It was finally approved in 1967 after a 72 year ban. Not sure about a brake issue, wouldn't the wheels be more toast? Plenty more where that came from.
silverspur Thanks this.
