4300 suspension height rear leaf springs???

Hello, I have had a 4300 for a little bit and have taken the 20' box off of the back and am looking at my rear leaf spring pack, it is only about an inch and half to two inches from the bumpstop...?

Is this normal???

If need be I can send pictures/I might just edit post with pictures if I get to it.

It is just spring pack there is no shock and no airbags.

Thoughts on switching to air ride if I can find a rear with bags, or is there a way to add shocks? Or is it fine?
