40 stops, downtown chicago. No thank you! I'd be cryin in the corner of my sleeper, in a fetal position.

The daycab makes a big difference, though, too. But still. 40 stops! :biggrin_25514:

Been to both for many years, and your wrong. Both are very tight. Learn how to drive and back. Thats where it becomes easy. The docks don't change. Overcome and make it happen.

YA I know they tryed to put 57 footers in Newfoundland but the DOT said no way.

A long time ago some told me they had 80 footers down in TX but I was thinking he was BS or is that really true.

West Coast does not necessarily mean anything. There's plenty of tight places in LA, Seattle, etc.

I have no problem driving a 48 or 53... But where I am located and my area is the cops are such pigs and give tickets to them from what Ive heard, even on the truck route. Try doing 15 stops a day with the swing doors as well. I have no problem with them, they are great for highway driving, but shouldnt be out on P/D like I was doing. I have pulled them going to 1 stop and bringing it back.

    Everyone has there own opinions.

I usually do about 40-60 stops a day, usually about 30 stops in the morning with a 53" with roll door and the latter of my night with a 48" barn door. I feel it's the only way to make money! More freight = more money!

Makes sense if you are paid by the load. I am paid by the hour so it doesnt matter to me

Yeah - I'm all about work the least amount of hours in a day and break the most profit. Some days I can work 6 hours and pull close to $1500 a day. I've almost perfected making money for doing nothing :)
