9000 plus gallons of fuel? If that's one truck, he got away with for almost an entire year! He stole more than fuel....showers, points, refills,, that's how the judge came up.with 50 years.

50 years for this? Meanwhile the foreigner that plowed into the cars in Colorado gets his 110 year sentence reduced to 10. Where's the logic in today's judicial sysyem?

Big difference in the judicial system. 10 years in Colorado vs. 50 years in Texas. Plus you have to consider the economic losses incurred in the theft of the 9,000+ gallons of diesel fuel (fuel taxes lost associated with the theft).
Plus,he was charged with basically running a criminal enterprise-which I’m sure the Lone Star State has their own variation of the RICO Act that can be implemented for such offenses.

    Layman’s terms-Don’t mess with Texas,y’all!

Stealing fuel gets you life sentence in Texas.

If dude was an illegal in New York he would have been given 30 days house arrest after they paid an apartment for him :D

Sheer idiocy that sentence but then should I be surprised? Folks over there wear cowboy boots, cowboy hats and bolo ties at leisure. Nothing wrong with the attire it just a different world.
