60,000 driver shortage in the USA

I think it would be cool to drive in Europe for a while. Probably not an easy feat to accomplish.

 

Yes quite true if there was really a driver shortage the Dept of Labour would get on board, as its not just as simple as getting visas, companies must prove to the Dept of Labour that they can not find enough drivers locally by placing adverts in newspapers, online, etc. etc, if after a certain time period they can prove they have not hired enough drivers the Dept of Labour will endorse them to be able to then petition the USCIS for visas usually the H2B visa which is a short term seasonal visa however can be extended for increments of up to 8 months for a period of 3 years then the visa holder would be required to depart the USA.

 

I know for one that I don't want 60-100K more trucks on the roads. We seem to be handling things just fine the way it is. In fact I don't mind the losses by those getting out of the industry either by choice, retirement, etc...

 

no I do not. Plus let's be realistic, with this whole plandemic going on, I'm sure over there they'd coerce you into jabbin and masking more than they do here. So America it is.

 

Not reading the whole thread, but any companies crying about a driver shortage suck to work for, period
