    Questions:

-has he pulled doubles and triples?
-can he get hazmat? You need it for just about every company that you can pull doubles for
-has he had a trucking job since completing the SAP program?
-is he driving now? If not, how long has he been out?

The better tanker jobs usually require a haz-mat.

    I’m lost...
-You mentioned SAP program. Did he fail a random drug test? Is he at the same company that he was at when he failed (if he failed?)
-You mentioned that California wanting him to redo his entire license...the written part or ALL of it? To add an endorsement? Does he have a valid CDL and medical card?
-Because of the “stupid CA rules”, How is your dad going to get around that when he is a California resident? If he’s looking for a local and regional gig, he’s going t9 have to have a California license...right?

    I’m missing something...what am I missing? @Chinatown?

    Chinatown Thanks this.

Yeah California is stupid. If you want to add an endorsement you have to retake the written test again. Not just for the first endorsement but every written test. I had to do it when I added my motorcycle on

He's really limited without the hazmat endorsement.
Wildwood Express is scattered around and that might work for him.

If he doesn't like this, then sign up with a temp service that hires cdl drivers. This way he can pick and choose until he finds what he likes.
