Anyone take 17 north to 81 to get into Pa instead for looping around DC / Baltimore to 83 to Pa.

    Tall Mike Thanks this.

It’s been years since I went that way. There used to be a length restriction on 17 north of 66,so it’s 17,66,81.
@Tall Mike can probably give more up to date info.

No tractor trailers allowed on 17 between 66 and 50. IIRC there isn’t a length attached to that.

17, 66 to 81, or 522 up to 81 if you'r heavy or in the gray area.

I was tempted to try it a couple weeks ago claiming the good ole "AG exemption".

Might not even be an AG exemption but I'd claim one anyway. :confused3:

    *forgot to mention*

you can also cut back across 340 to Frederick and run straight up 15 towards Harrisburg. Catch 340 off 522 good running just watch the speed zones in the little towns.

This is the way I would run it too. Taking 522 bypasses the coop.

I'll do that next to time.

OMG. I started in keenly(sp). Got up to Harrisburg. Averaged 48 mph.
