A decent company?....help

    I am kinda of in a mess. I am goin back out on the road I am 22.I have 6 months of exp. and the other catch is that I come off the road in april of this year....i am gettin a big gap in my otr exp.....can someone please tell me a few good companys to go with so i can get a few months exp. and move on to better thangs all info will help.

    Try the larger companies, but I think its going to be tough getting back into the trucking industry right now. A lot of the companies have a hiring freeze right now. I think they are waiting to see if freight is going to pick up. Good Luck!

    arnold hires with 6 mo exp. also try USA Truck.
    i worked for USA for 18 months had few complaints about them. i am now at arnold and like it here so far after 2v months.

    US Xpress will take you if you have 6 months. However, they have a current hiring freeze on students only I believe, but they may now be including regular experienced drivers.

    my dad is leavein in the next few weeks to go with them so it must be just on students......me not know though lol

    does anybody know if knight would be ok to go with its so hard to find a decent company cause you see so much bad and somuch good but you never hear the story all the way around and i dont what stories to trust and which ones you dont trust.

    Really the only way you might get a good picture about a company is talk with a few drivers of that company. Just make sure you talk to more than one. I'd recommend 5 or more to get a good picture. You might have to go to the truck stops or their terminal but you'd get a better feel for that company. I know it's a crap shoot when you have little or no experience. You're pretty much stuck on where you can go. Just remember to keep your record clean so someday you can move onto the jobs that are good for you.
