You wont believe me, but DC mobs get really bad when the forecasters start screaming snowflakes. The panic among the masses driving to and from the stores are palatable.
I don't recall a time we had to go to the store in such times. We always had plenty of oil and firewood as well as food. The basics.
Here in Arkansas, it's nice here. Just plenty cold. For us. Running water all week. It will be about 5 more days before we get warm enough to quit that.

Oh I believe you.
There is just a sick part of me that really enjoys it when the weather man forecasts a winter storm that could keep you in your house for a day or 2. And people freak out and buy every morcel of food available as if the apocalypse has just been announced.
